settling old loans and credit cards

hi,

i have personal loan from two banks ( citi and hdfc) and a few credit cards. for the last couple of years things have been really bad with me and have defaulted on all my loans and cards, and have not made any payments towards my account for the last two years. we had to sell our house, therefore i don't have any communications sent  from any of the bank.
as things are working for me,  i would like to settle all my loans, and get back to a normal life. can anyone help me guide on how and whom to approach in the banks, agencies or if through lawyers to settle everything. though i cannot clear every bank in one go, i can do it over  a period of time.
any tips or help would be much appreciated.

2. Approach the Ombudsman of Every Bank. Show them Proof of your House Sale and ask for Full & Final Settlement http://credit.cardbhai.com/2009/01/credit-default-final-settlement-steps.html

3. Don't open your Salary Account or any bank Account in any of the banks where you owe money because they may just suck everything out.
