I'm using standard chartered credit card. I purchased a mobile through it and converted this amount to 12 EMI. They have created a emi account and linked it to my primary card account. I've made all payments on time to my primary card, I was expecting that there system should transfer/adjust the amount between primary and emi account. But instead of adjusting they have fine an interest and service charges. I've requested them to reverse the charges as I've paid all amount on time but there representative told me that this can't be reverse. As a customer, I don't know whats there internal policies related to transfer of money from primary account to EMI account. According to me its there system fault to not to adjust the amount.
They charged me a fine of Rs 2600 approx as a interest unnecessarily. I'm a bit depress due to this.
