Standard Chartered Card issue
« on: October 11, 2010, 06:19:45 PM »
Dear CardBhai,

I had a SCB card and used it till 2005. I clearly remember settling the card as an one time settlement in 2005 itself. Unaware of the issues like cibil then , I did not bother to keep the correspondence related to the settlement. Infact I did not remember the card no which I had broken and threw it away.

Now When I applied for a home loan , I was shocked to know from the bank which rejected my loan that I was having an outstanding amount to be paid to Shah finlease , and I suppose they are the one who handle all the SCB card 2000-2005.

I tried contacting both SCB and Shah finlease in regard to this , where SCB has stated that I should contact Shah finlease.

I wrote to Shah finlease in regard to this a month back asking them the breakup of the due amount which is showing 1.6L. Shah finlease had responded to my mail only once saying that they are in process of seeking the data, and  once on availability of the data they will furnish the same to me. Now after this response 20 days are over and nothing has happened no mail from Shah finlease in regard to my query

Now I am confused , What to do ? How do I intend to proceed further with them to clear my name from CIBIL and also get the home loan cleared.

I request cardbhai to spare some time for me and help me in this regard.
