CIBIL- name to be removed

Hi, I need help. I had closed my citibank credit card in 2008 by paying 25k against a 45 k o/s as per the idea given by some collection agent. That card was growing by heaps and bounds so got it closed. I have a letter fr them too stating full and final settlement, no dues frm my end payable to them etc. I happenned to apply for a PL couple of days ago to realise my name features in CIBIL. I want to know how to get my name remved? P help. This is urgent and would be grateful to u

You can't remove your name from CIBIL. Everybody's name including mine is recorded in CIBIL. What I think you want to tell here is your CIBIL record suggest that you are a defaulter, right ?

For that, the first step would be to obtain CIBIL report. You are entitled for FREE CIBIL report from the bank which declined your Personal Loan. The procedure to obtain this for free is here http://credit.cardbhai.com/2009/06/consumer-demand-credit-report-now.html

Thanks wll do that. I have the number of my cibil entry though also my score. Am not sure of the technical word used . However I will collect the cibil report and revert.
