I would like to introduce myself as a Victim of Credit Card Fraud in 2007.
My Credit Card(HSBC Card) was misused badly for around 30000 Rs and I had lodged a Police Complaint(after few days) with Commissioner in Chennai at that time.He recommended me to HSBC officer and that officer inquired my Mom and myself.They collected the photos of my Family and Friends and ensured that they will refer my case to Mumbai Office of HSBC.In a couple of months ,they Credited some money back to my card stating the signatures didn't match and I assumed everything will be be done as none of my signatures would match.
Whenever the HSBC agents from Bangalore use to call me to pay money,I use to tell the above.However,at that point of time,I had so many liabilities and was financially week and couldn't afford the same.
After that,I lost track of it as I went to different country for my studies and work.I recently applied for a Loan with SBI and they rejected stating that HSBC card has been written off for 1,29,995 on my name.These informations were got from CIBIL.
I had contacted HSBC officials and came forward to settle my case and I was even ok to pay entire principle amount even though it was not used by me.But still,they are not even bothered to do anything.They say that,they have outsourced Collections to Tata Consultancy Services(TCS )in
Bangalore.When I call those TCS ppl,they are asking me to pay the entire amount.
When I go to police with the complaint i had given in 2007,they ask me not to pay more than principle and try to settle.
Pls let me know what I should do to get some sort of closure from HSBC on this as my Loan would be based on this.
