1. Approach the SBI Bank Ombudsman immediately stating that you are not liable to pay any amount as sent by the SBI Cards Division because they are fraudulent transactions and interest there-on.

2. If SBI Ombudsman doesn't reply within 30 days, send a copy of your case to RBI Banking Ombudsman stating SBI didn't even bother to reply.

3. Kindly write the letters professionally or get them written.

Thanks.

Here is a List of RBI Banking Ombudsman, Kindly choose the appropriate one depending on your location,

http://www.rbi.org.in/Scripts/bs_viewcontent.aspx?Id=164

The Admin forwarded your e-mail to me and I believe SBI Cards are simply harassing you. Please don't worry, it will get resolved. Additionally, refer to http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/NotificationUser.aspx?Mode=0&Id=5110 Section 7.f Redressal of Grievances under which you are entitled for compensation due to harassment, it says,

Quote
The bank/NBFC which is a subsidiary of a bank shall be liable to compensate the complainant for the loss of his time, expenses, financial loss as well as for the harassment and mental anguish suffered by him for the fault of the bank and where the grievance has not been redressed in time

Don't leave the SBI guys like that, seek compensation for Time and Suffering you had to undergo.

It looks like that your application was transferred by the RBI. It is unfortunate in your case that RBI has not replied.

Kindly, quote the correspondence number and FILE a RTI with the RBI, Jaipur and they have to reply to you within the next 30 days.

Just take a Postal Order of Rs 10 and draw it in favor of PAO, RBI payable at Jaipur. Send the RTI by Speedpost or Registered AD.

PAO stands for Pay and Accounts officer. The contents of RTI should be as follows,

To,
Central Public Information Officer
Office of the banking Ombudsman,
Tonk Road
Jaipur - 302 004
