Title: Applying for a credit card overseas

Is it possible to use your credit history in India to apply for a credit card (say, with the same multinational bank) overseas? I have been using credit cards in India for over 20 years but am facing difficulty getting approved for an overseas card, now that I have been posted overseas.  These seem to suggest I need to start afresh in building credit history. Is this true? Is there any way out?

No it is not possible unless you are physically located in the foreign country.
